The Lone Star Art Auction is a Texas-sized auction event specializing in the best American, Western, wildlife, sporting, and Texas fine art of the 19th – 21st centuries. Presented by Great American West and Phil Berkebile, Jr., the Lone Star Art Auction brings buyers, collectors, and sellers of historic and contemporary fine art together in Dallas for an exciting, enjoyable, and highly entertaining event. Art patrons and enthusiasts can socialize together while some of the most sought-after fine art available in the market will be auctioned and sold to the highest bidders.

The Third Annual Lone Star Art Auction will be held on October 12, 2024, in the Grand Ballroom of the Renaissance Dallas Hotel located at 2222 N. Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75207. Auction activities will kick-off on Friday, October 11 from 10:00am – 5:00pm CT with an auction artwork preview followed at 5:30pm CT by the exclusive Lone Star Art Auction Paton’s Cocktail Reception and Dinner that evening. Auction registrants attending this event can preview the auction artwork while being entertained by Texas swing band legends, The Gimble’s. On Saturday, October 12, the day will begin with an auction artwork preview and pre-auction breakfast beginning at 10:00am CT followed by the live auction at 12:00 noon. Keeping with Lone Star Art Auction tradition, all auction events are complimentary to auction attendee registrants.

Nationally recognized auctioneer Jason Brooks and his team will conduct the auction ensuring a high-quality and enjoyable experience for all auction attendees.

About the Owner

Phil Berkebile, Jr. established Great American West, LLC in July 2009 to focus on servicing collectors and investors in American and Western fine art. His operating businesses include the Great American West Fine Art and the Lone Star Art Auction, a full-service fine art auction company. Phil also provides fine art investment advisory and estate planning and liquidation services. Great American West Fine Art and the Lone Star Art Auction are co-located in Dallas, Texas and both specialize in original fine art from the most recognized and most awarded living and deceased American, Western, wildlife, sporting, and Texas artists of the 19th – 21st centuries including the historic masters.

After graduating with a business degree from the University of Nebraska, Phil moved to Dallas to begin his professional career which culminated in the founding of the business information services and technology company Austin-Tetra, Inc. In October 2006, Phil sold Austin-Tetra to Atlanta-based Equifax, a FORTUNE 1000 company. Since the sale of his company, Phil focuses his time operating his fine art businesses and his private investments including commercial real estate.
